The Eagles suffered their first region loss of 2017 with a heartbreaking 16-13 defeat in overtime in Leesburg. Lee Co. led 3-0 at halftime, but the Eagles took the second half kickoff and drove 81 yards in 16 plays and took the lead on a 1yd TD run by QB Jadin Daniels with 5:29 left in the third quarter. Lee Co. answered with 15 yard TD pass with 1:02 left in the quarter to retake the lead at 10-7. The score remained at 10-7 until 1:13 left in the game when junior Cory Munson calmly took the field and drilled a 59 yard field goal to tie the game and force overtime.

The Eagles got the ball first in OT but had to settle for a 25yd Munson FG. Lee answered that score with a 15 yard touchdown pass to secure the hard fought 16-13 region win.
