Despite outgaining the Wildcats by almost a 3:1 margin, the Eagles fell to Valdosta by a score of 14-6 in the first region contest of the season.
Early in the second quarter, the Eagles muffed a punt near their own 30 yard line and the ball continued to roll until it crossed the goal line and was fell on by Valdosta for a touchdown. Alex Gelter connected on 2 of 3 field goals for all of Northside's scoring despite entering the red zone on 3 occasions. Both teams committed several procedure penalties that hijacked drives.
