After three playoff losses to the Ware Co. Gators, the Eagles extracted a small dose of revenge with an impressive win in a non-region game at the MAC by a score of 48-7. The Eagle defense surrendered the first touchdown against them this year, but only after a Northside turnover set up the Gators with great field position in Northside territory. After that touchdown, the Eagle D shut down the Gators by sacking the quarterback 4 times and holding the powerful Wing-T rushing attack to less than 100 yards. On the other side of the ball, senior QB Tobias Oliver led a potent offensive attack with 298 yards of total offense. The fourth quarter began with a 'running clock' and featured a nice 5-play 61 yard TD drive by the second offensive unit. The Eagles now enjoy an open week before hosting the Macon Co. Bulldogs at the MAC on September 30.
