Northside kicked off the 2016 season in the never before scenario of facing longtime cross-town rival Warner Robins Demons in the first game of the year in a non-region contest. One year after setting a series record for the most total points scored, the Eagles set the record for largest margin of victory in the storied series in a resounding 55-3 win at the MAC.
Senior running back De’Sean Dinkins rushed for 135 yards and 2 touchdowns on only 9 carries including a 77 yard run in the second quarter to lead the offense. The Eagle defense recorded 4 sacks and 2 interceptions with senior Taykwan Northern getting one of each himself.
Northside continues their early season non-region schedule next Friday when Henry Co. visits the MAC.
